Due to staff shortages, Rockwell Falls Public Library will be closed until further notice.

It is a challenging time for the Rockwell Falls Public Library. In one week, we have lost two thirds of our staff, including our Director. Until we can resolve this issue, the library will be closed to the public. Because of this, we have made accommodations to make this closure easier for the patrons of our library.

First and foremost, there will be no fines or fees on any late materials while we are temporarily closed.

Secondly, you may still return items via the book drop outside our front door, we ask that you only return materials due to Rockwell Falls during our temporary closure. If you have materials owed to another library within SALS, please return them to another SALS library, such as the Corinth or Stony Creek libraries, so they can be returned to their home libraries.

Lastly, for patrons with holds, we are extending the duration of holds that are currently filled. Holds can not be picked up while we are temporarily closed, nor will we be able to fill new holds. Books requested via our e-catalogue can still be requested, but they must be picked up at another SALS library, such as the Corinth or Stony Creek Libraries.

We will update this page as circumstances change. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope to open to the public as soon as possible.

Update 11/30/2023: As our closure has passed two months with no certain re-open date in sight, we ask that patrons with books checked out from Rockwell Falls but belonging to other libraries return them. Materials from Rockwell Falls will not be due until we re-open.
