My name is Taylor Stelitano, and I am the program coordinator at Rockwell Falls Public Library.
Thank you for your interest in our kids book club! I am so excited to get this started, and wanted to share a little more information, and to answer any additional questions you may have before we begin.
Our book club is for all elementary-aged children, and will meet every Wednesday at 4 and Saturday at 10. We will be covering the same material on both the Wednesday and Saturday sessions; this is to give you the flexibility of choosing the day that works best for you! Your child is also welcome to change the day they attend each week, in case they miss a session and don’t want to be behind.
Week to week, we will be reading through the Adirondack Kids series, culminating in a party in March when the authors/illustrator will be joining us in person!
Your child does not need anything to attend, as each week I will be reading aloud a section from the book, followed by a snack and group discussion or activity based on that week’s portion.
It is important to note that as per library policy, this is not a drop-off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult during their time in the library. This does not mean, however, that you are required to participate in book club alongside them! Our library has much to offer, and we welcome you to come enjoy the space, books, puzzles, quiet time and computers while you take a break.
Our book club begins on Saturday, November 2nd at 10 a.m. I appreciate your interest in this program, and am so excited to meet your children and get started on this exciting adventure together.
