It is with deep sadness that we acknowledge the loss of Ted Mirczak who served as the President of the Board of Trustees from his appointment on December 19, 2023 through his reelection June of 2024 until he served out his term June of 2025. Ted, and his beloved wife, Judy, loved and served this library and the community with selflessness and integrity. Ted began his service after a challenging time and closure for the library. His leadership steadied the ship, so to speak. Ted exemplified dignity and grace in his role as president. He spoke his mind, didn’t shy away from difficult conversations, but put the library’s best interests first in all decisions and led the board with dignity. When he decided not to run again, he expressed the need to put his family first, yet another example of the values that he held dear.
Our hearts are heavy at his passing, but his life was one of light and service that exemplifies one well lived. Our thanks to Ted Mirczak and our condolences to his family and many friends.
