Want to learn how to get started gardening this spring?
We are happy to work with the Upper Hudson Queer Alliance as they present their Beginner-Friendly Sustainable Garden Workshop! Join us March 29th at noon for this free event for adults and teens, though all ages are welcome to attend. All materials will be provided!
This first event will contain interactive demonstrations on a variety of home gardening topics: seed starting, soil making, composting, and transplanting into containers as well as into the ground. Samples will be provided for each station and attendees will be encouraged to take home what they work with. No harmful chemicals will be used during this workshop.
There will also be an associated craft for kids, where they will be able to paint miniature pots (3 inches) and get a few seeds and some soil to start their own gardening project.
